Spaceloft® InsulCap™

Utilized as a home and wall insulation material, Spaceloft® Insulcap™  is a revolutionary way to significantly improve the energy efficiency of a building without having to alter standard construction designs or protocols.

Made from 3/8” inch thick strips of flexible aerogel, (the world’s most efficient insulating material), Spaceloft® InsulCap™ is specifically designed to improve the energy efficiency of steel-frame and wood-frame buildings.

The strips can be applied onto either the inside or outside of a building’s framing prior to sheathing.  In a process called “thermal bridging,” the framing of a building has long been a cause a source of heat loss.  But Spacelosft® Insulcap™   significantly reduces thermal bridging, improving the thermal performance of a steel-frame wall by 40% and that of a wood frame wall by 15%.  These affordable and easy to install aerogel strips can save the average homeowner up to $750 per year in energy costs and reduce the average home carbon footprint by several tons per year.
