Cryogel Z™

As an  Aerogel pipe insulation installer, Airtight Distribution utilizes Cryogel Z™ flexible insulation, due to the integral vapor barrier and it’s status as  a leading insulator for sub-ambient and cryogenic pipelines, vessels, and equipment today.  Its low thermal conductivity reduces heat gain and boil-off to an unprecedented extent. Studies conducted by Aspen Aerogels™ demonstrate that boil-off rates for LNG ships can be cut by as much as 40%.  Cryogel Z retains its insulating properties at temperatures as low 270°C below zero (up to -460°F) up to 90°C above zero (195°F).  And the R-value per inch of the aerogel blanket is four to six times greater than conventional types of insulation.  Cryogel Z is easier to install than other insulation saving time and labor cost and like all aerogel products it is environmentally safe and disposable.
